Newcomer Mads Realmuto pulls ahead in PVUSD race — Palo Alto Schools news

Incumbent Misty Navarro, left, and challenger Mads Realmuto. (Amaya Edwards — Santa Cruz Local/CatchLight Local file) APTOS Mads Realmuto has pulled into a razor-thin lead in the race for Area 7 of the Pajaro Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees. In the latest round of vote counts dropped at 6 p.m., Realmuto had 27 more votes than incumbent Misty Navarro. If results hold or the gap between them widens, Realmuto could unseat Navarro and clinch the win.  “I think anytime you’re running against an incumbent, it’s an uphill battle, especially someone who’s got a lot of support from individuals in the community,” Realmuto said Wednesday morning.  (function() { window.mc4wp = window.mc4wp || { listeners: [], forms: { on: function(evt, cb) { window.mc4wp.listeners.push( { event : evt, callback: cb } ); } } } })(); No fluff.
